New Release Deception by Morgan Black

Excerpt Deception

"Should we go again?”

She laughed, “Of course.”

“You're so cute how you thought that was a question.” I watched as he took his hand and put it around the front of her neck pushing her down on the ground where he had laid his coat in the sand. She smiled devilishly at him. I could almost feel the lust rolling off of her skin. I felt my breath catch in my chest as he spread her legs open and started kissing his way down her stomach. It was like a train wreck, I knew I shouldn't be watching but I couldn't take my eyes away. He took his large hand and cupped her right breast and pulled slightly. I watched as he squeezed hard and her face displayed a mixture of pain and pleasure. He drug both his hands down her body and spread her legs open.

Friday Pen Pals with Larynn Ford

Friday Pen Pals with Larynn Ford as she shares with us her new book Dreams Come True

BLURB:

The vicious slaughter of cattle brings Lynzi Lancaster and her fiancé, Layne Brady, a Fae raised in the human world, to the aid of his human parents. A neighbor with a grudge has returned to the area to settle a score.

Lynzi is only mildly shocked to find the tall tales her granddaddy had told so many years ago about black panthers roaming the woods near their home were not only true but also had a twist. The animals were werepanthers.

The renegade panther believes Lynzi is a witch and threatens her life when Fae magic is performed nearby. Now, it’s up to Lynzi and Layne to bring down the big cats and keep her alive.

 Bio:

Larynn Ford began reading romance in her early teens and became interested in writing in high school. She’s a daydreamer and a romantic who is intrigued by the paranormal and loves to let her mind wander, always searching for a happily ever after ending to her dreams.

She began reading with a renewed passion in 2006, fell in love with romance all over again, and began thinking how much fun it would be to create a fantasy world all her own.

To her delight and constant amazement, her first book, IN MY WILDEST DREAMS was released April 16, 2013. Her desire for more grows constantly. She’s going to keep on writing, dreaming, and searching for those happy endings.

Excerpt:

“I can’t quite put my finger on it, either. I think Aunt Pet should come out here and see what she thinks,” Layne agreed.

If it was magic, Aunt Pet would know for sure. What kind and where it came from. As we continued farther across the pasture, movement in the tree line at the edge of the field caught my attention. Although I was certain I was safe from any possible harm, the sight of a massive black cat stopped me in my tracks.

I sucked in a sharp breath and gasped as I did my best to absorb the sight of the mammoth cat watching our group from the distance. I didn’t want to make any sudden moves to startle him for fear he would attack. My hands shook, my heart pounded, making it hard to breathe. I swallowed hard. “Layne, Lake. The trees to the left.” The super-sized cat sat inside the tree line and studied us before he stood and slipped behind the trees out of sight.

“I saw him, darlin’. I think it was Tom. But don’t you worry now, you’re safe.” Layne circled the nape of my neck with his hand, sliding his thumb back and forth in a soothing fashion.

I reminded myself I was in the safest hands possible with a Fae warrior on either side of me but I remained on high alert.

My desire to circle Layne’s waist with my arm for my own comfort was powerful but I realized how strange that would appear to anyone watching so, I shoved my hands in my pockets to maintain a more normal air.

I couldn’t believe my eyes. Was this what Granddaddy Lancaster had seen all those years ago? “Layne, he was huge.” Layne eased his arm around my waist and tucked me close to his side, assuring me I was indeed safe with him at my side.

At that moment, a man stepped from behind a tree, and started toward us. Tall with broad shoulders, dark, curly, shoulder-length hair, and dark eyes, he was dressed in jeans and a white pull-over shirt that stretched across his chest as if it had been applied with a paintbrush. His smile was broad and sparkling white teeth gleamed against his bronzed skin. He slung his hand over his head in greeting. Lake waved back and signaled our welcome. As he approached, he greeted Lake and then Layne as if he saw him standing with us. Layne’s hand tightened on my back tugging me closer to his side.

“Lake, Layne, it’s good to see you again. And you must be Lynzi. The Bradys have told me all about you. I’m Tom Monroe.”

Visiting writer Erin Bevan to tells us about The Ranch Hand. Her new book.

Friday Pen Pals
 Exciting News
The Ranch Hand by
Erin Bevan
From Wild Rose Press

Blurb Ranch Hand
Jason Haverty is looking forward to the fall horse drive, until his boss and uncle informs him one of
the new cowboys in to help will be riding his favorite horse. His annoyance is furthered when the
cowboy turns out to be a girl--a quick-witted and confident blonde beauty. Trying to avoid her doesn't work. The more time he spends with her, the more an unexpected protectiveness towards her grows.

Bobby Jo's upbringing taught her to give as good as she gets, a quality Jason finds frustrating and all the more endearing in a Southern Belle. When an accident on the trail places her in possible danger, Jason realizes she means more to him than he thought. The question is, does she feel the same?

Excerpt:

Jason arrived at Billings International Airport
twenty minutes early. He checked the monitors—Mike
and Bobby’s flight was scheduled to land on time.
Good. He sure as hell didn’t want to have to wait on
them.

He grabbed a seat by the bag terminal, tipped his
hat low on his head, and decided to catch a little shuteye
before he had to deal with their guests. He woke to
someone nudging his shoulder.

Jason tipped his hat back on his head to see a
blonde beauty standing in front of him. His heart
hammered against his chest. His throat tightened as he
gave her a quick once over.

Long golden strands covered her shoulders, and her
eyes were blue like a clear Montana sky. Her smile
penetrated his chest like the stilettos on her heels, and
the curve of her hips made his pants constrict.

“Yes, ma’am, can I help you?” he drawled.

“Are you Jason Haverty?” the beauty asked in a Southern twang.

“Yes, I am.”

“Oh, thank goodness.” She turned. “Mike, over
here. I found him,” she hollered as she waved her arm in
the air. The fire engine red handbag she held was some
high-priced designer brand, Couch or Nada, something
like that, and her luggage had the letters LV all over it.
Maybe those were her initials.

He stood just as a young guy wearing a navy blue
T-shirt and skin-tight jeans made his way over to them.
This kid was long and lean, had celery stalks for legs,
and a zit on the tip of his nose. Hell, she was probably
the kid’s girlfriend, which meant she was young, too.

Too young for him.

A damn shame.

Bio
Erin Bevan was born and raised in Southwest Arkansas. She spent her teenage years working for her aunt at the local gas station flipping burgers and making milkshakes dreaming of the day when something better would come her way.

Fast forward ten years later, she found herself stuck inside an apartment in South Korea while her daughter went to preschool and her husband went to work. Alone and unable to speak the local language she turned to books for a friend. After reading a few hundred in such a short time, she decided to try her hand at writing one.

That first one sucked, but by the fifth and sixth book, Erin started to get the hang of this writing thing. Getting the first contract in the mail was a dream come true. Now, with three babies at home, she squeezes in stories one word at a time, one sentence at a time, one day at a time.  She’s a full time mom, a full time wife, with a little writer sprinkled in whenever she can get the chance.
